Midwest Mechanical Contractors has been building health care facilities since the early 1980's. We are proud to have provided pre-construction and construction services including plumbing, medical gas and HVAC installations for literally millions of square feet of health care projects throughout the United States. To view a map highlighting 7 of our current health care projects throughout the country click here.

Midwest is most proud of the relationships we have built over the years with many owners, general contractors, architects and engineers who have trusted our knowledge and skills in the construction of these world-class health care facilities.  A sampling of our completed Health Care projects is below, click on a photo for more information on each project.

For more information on any of these projects or how Midwest Mechanical Contractors can assist you in Pre-Construction and Construction of your next healthcare facility, please email Keith E. Andrews, Executive Vice President or call us at 816.941.5300.

Named as one of "America's Best Hospitals" in the July 17, 2006 issue of U.S. News & World Report  this new 6-story, 205,347 square foot patient tower/wing was attached to the existing Mercy Medical Center located in downtown Des Moines, IA. It features a 123’ high atrium divided into two 3-story high lobbies; one lobby begins at street level for a new East Entrance into the building the second will serve the three upper floors containing the new Mother-Baby Center. The hospital addition also provides space for expansion of the Mercy College of Health Sciences and be home to the Ruan Neuroscience Center, two critical care units, the Mercy Education Center and a comprehensive Mother/Baby Center.

Lay down and storage space have been a challenge in this urban area. Pre-planning and intense coordination efforts with other trades have allowed construction to progress on schedule for this project.
