Midwest Mechanical associates have been involved in Christmas In October (CIO) for many years. CIO rehabilitates, free of charge, the houses of low-income homeowners, particularly the elderly and disabled, so that they may continue to live in warmth, safety, dignity and independence.

Thousands of homes in neighborhoods throughout the metro area have been improved since the program began in 1984, allowing residents to remain in their homes with dignity and pride. Some of our neighbors still need help because their homes are not yet safe and warm.

This year's work dates are Saturday, Oct. 7 for skilled labor (plumbers, pipe fitters, millwrights, carpenters, etc.) and Saturday, Oct. 14 for unskilled, general labor. If you would like to volunteer as unskilled labor, please contact Tom Redmond or Cyndie McNabb at 816.531.6443 or Info@ChristmasInOctober.org.

Skilled volunteers should contact Fred Jonas at the MCA Training Center, 816.761.8800. For more information, or to donate online, visit www.christmas-in-october.org.
