Toys For Tots Logo

Midwest Mechanical Contractors, is participating in the annual Toy's For Tot's Campaign this year from November 30 to December 18th. We are collecting new unwrapped toys at our office and will turn them over to the U.S. Marines for Toy's For Tot's program.

Midwest Mechanical Service recently partnered with MultiStack, MagLev™ to become a Retrofit Contractor. This means that Midwest is now a part of a very small group of contractors in the region that can offer Danfoss/Turbocor compressor retrofits, service and installation.

Needless to say the Midwest Mechanical Service Team is excited about the opportunity to partner with MagLev™! We feel strongly that it represents another way to distinguish our company in a market full of capable contractors and continue on our path of providing sensible solutions as a GREENSTAR contractor.

Harvesters Logo

The Harvester Food Drive results are in! The employees at our Kansas City office raised 1,083 pounds of food and cash for Harvesters and Midwest Mechanical Contractors matched the donation with a check to Harvesters for $1,083.

Together we donated a grand total of 2,166 pounds of food and cash this year! Congratulations and thank you to all that participated in this event!

Midwest Mechanical featured in the October 12, 2009 issue of Engineering News Record, which recognizes the Top 600 Specialty Contractors. Midwest Mechanical Contractors earned a ranking of #19 in the Top 50 Mechanical Contractors category and #34 overall in the Top 600 Specialty Contractors.

Midwest Mechanical is holding a Harvesters Food Drive this month in the Kansas City Warehouse/Office location. In 2008 we collected just over 900 pounds of non-perishable food; our goal this year is to collect over 1,000 lbs for the local Food Bank. Harvesters distributes well over 2.3 million pounds of food monthly in the Kansas City region.

Midwest received notification from Turner Construction today, The Turner Construction Team has been awarded the Fort Benning, Martin Army Hospital project on a design/build basis. The project includes a complete central plant and approximately 750,000 square feet of hospital and clinic space and will be LEED Silver Certified.

Midwest is honored to be selected by Turner for this process, and by the Corp of Engineers to design and build the mechanical systems for this new healthcare facility that will help care for our service men and women.

Midwest will participate in two upcoming college recruiting events! Follow both of these events on Facebook. On Wednesday, September 23rd, we will be participating in the Pittsburg State Company Day event in Pittsburg, KS.

On Thursday, October, 1st, we will be co-hosting a pre-event tour of the new Justice Center being constructed by U.S. Engineering in Denver at the MCAA Student Summit being held from October 1 - October 3, 2009.

Midwest Mechanical Contractors field employees surpass 1.5 million Safe Hours with 1,509,875 hours worked since Nov. 1, 2006 without any lost time incidents. We are proud of the efforts of our entire field workforce and project management staff for assuring our employees work safely every day. During this period Midwest has had projects under construction in 15 different states! We now look to achieve the 3 year mark on Nov. 1, 2009!

Midwest Mechanical Contractors, Inc. now holds a South Dakota State Plumbing Contractors license. We chose to add the State of South Dakota as several of our energy clients are interested in projects in South Dakota.
