Several years ago, a large number of our project management and estimating staff accepted the commitment to become LEED® certified. Midwest Mechanical Contractors, Inc., including our service division, Midwest Mechanical Service, Inc. now has on staff 25 LEED® AP construction professionals, with several more Project Managers and Estimators scheduled to complete their examinations in the coming weeks and months. As plumbing, piping and HVAC contractor and service providers we believe that sustainability and energy efficiency of our project buildings is at the heart of every job.

This announcement was made to our employees at a monthly Town Hall meeting this morning where Dr. Richard Gordon from Bridging The Gap made a presentation on the benefits of recycling and sustainability initiative and how they can affect the company bottom line, and simple steps you can do at home.

The National Safety Council notified Midwest that we have successfully met the criteria for the Occupational Excellence Achievement Award. This award combined with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Build Safe Partnership Program (BSPP) are further confirmation by policy-setting organizations in the Safety Industry, that our employees perform work safely on a daily basis and that our Safety Program is beyond the basis!

Midwest Mechanical Service has been selected by the City of Kansas City Missouri for a 1 year Service & Maintenance Contract. Midwest Mechanical Service will be providing repair and replacement work on all KCMO-owned buildings

MIDWEST MECHANICAL IS AWARDED ALLEN FIELD HOUSE PLUMBING IMPROVEMENT PACKAGE

Midwest Mechanical was awarded the Plumbing Renovations of KU Allen Field House – the project is with Turner Construction and will start at the end of the current basketball season, it is scheduled to be completed next fall prior to the 2009-2010 Basketball season.
