Convention Center and Arena

Pre-Construction and Construction services were provided for this quarter-mile long, 1.1 million square foot Convention Center and Arena. Pre-construction included conceptual estimating, design assistance and cost-value analysis for the entire plumbing and HVAC scopes of work. Midwest established a Fabrication shop on-site allowing pre-fabrication of miles of plumbing and pipe.

The Qwest Center Omaha combines a 481,000 sq. ft. convention center and 471,000 sq. ft. arena which can be used for exhibition space or configured to seat up to 17,000 and host hockey, basketball and indoor concerts. The facility includes a ballroom, 16 meeting rooms, public lobbies, pre-function and registration areas as well as an outdoor terrace overlooking the Missouri River.
