Central Energy Plants
The Lipten Company selected Midwest Mechanical to provide complete building and mechanical installation services for two nearly identical Central Energy Plants located in Madison, IL and West Franklin, IN. These energy plants provide steam, cooling water, process water, treated water and plant air to the 88 MGY corn-based Ethanol plants they serve.
Midwest fabricated and installed the pipign in both plants. Midwest also set (4) 2,200-hp boilers, (2) 1,800-ton chillers, (2) air compressors, water filtration equipment, water treatment equipment and water softening equipment in both plants. The nearly identical plants in Madison, IL and West Franklin, IN were contructed simultaneously.
