20-Cell Cooling Tower

Midwest was awarded this contract as a sub-contractor to Marley Cooling Technologies and was assigned the task of completing the piping for the 20-cell cooling tower for Duke/Fluor at the PSEG Lawrenceburg Energy Facility. Almost all of the existing piping had to be modified and re-worked to fit existing conditions. The owner furnished fabrication did not fit as planned. Midwest personnel had to overcome one of the harshest winters in the regions recent history and the 90-day time table for completion.

All work was performed outdoors and safety was a primary concern, not only because of the nature of the work, but the extreme conditions. No incidents were recorded and the owners and construction managers were very impressed with the work performed by Midwest and our local subcontractor on this project Thomas J. Dyer Co.
