Cooling Tower Pipe Installation

In April 2001, Midwest Mechanical began work on the second Ameren Corporation project in their nuclear power plant located near Fulton, MO which is owned by the Saint Louis-based company. The project was performed for Marley Cooling Tower and involved the installation of cooling tower water lines at Fulton nuclear facility.

This unique project required us to tap into an existing 102-inch cooling water line to add the 102-inch piping, valves and fittings for a new cooling tower. The project was challenging due to the shear size of the pipe involved and the limited time to install the work. The new cooling tower water piping had to be installed and 100% operational by the completion of a 96-hour plant outage.
