100 MGY Corn-based Ethanol Plant
Large Process Piping Fabrication
Process piping fabrication for this 100 MGY corn-based ethanol plant took place in the Kansas City Fabrication shop by our pipe fitters. Stainless steel piping as large as 48" was welded in sections and then trucked to the Council Bluffs site where our skilled pipe fitters installed the entire plant.
Midwest pipe fitters produced 2,474 carbon steel welds and 4,139 stainless steel welds in our Kansas City shop for a total of over 7.6 miles of weld inches. Additional welding was held to a minimum in the field allowing installation to remain on schedule in a very tight labor market.
